Hello,
On a recent trip, I took pictures with my smartphone and my camera, and now need to batch-edit them so I can create a slideshow as an MP4 video.
Pictures taken with the smartphone:
Horizontal : 4000 x 2250 Pixels (9.00 MPixels) (16:9)
Vertical : 2250 x 4000 Pixels (9.00 MPixels) (9:16)
Pictures taken with the
Horizontal : 1600 x 1200 Pixels (1.92 MPixels) (4:3)
Vertical : 1200 x 1600 Pixels (1.92 MPixels) (3:4)
How should I batch-edit the files so they look the same after I shrank them to 1024px horizontally?
Thank you.

Edit: It looks like I should add a black border at the top+bottom of 16:9 pictures taken by the smartphone, so that I end up with the 1024*768 I get from shrinking 4:3 pics from the camera.
I found no option in the Batch Modify dialog to add a background to 16:9 pics to fill the extra 192 (96*2) pixels need to get to 768.
Does IrfanView provide a way?
