We are trying to convert out eps files to png files with transparent backgrounds. When we do this, it works but the quality of the png files is really bad!!! All of the edges of the images are way to pixulated to use. Any ideas on how to make sure when we do the conversions that the images are nice and clean?

EPS images are in vector format. They may contain a low resolution preview image (about 96 dpi) . This is all that IrfanView can display.

Go to Options / Properties / PlugIns and choose the PostScript options. Set a high dpi value. Reload your PS.
