    Question about image scrolling

Is it possible to change / fasten the scrolling speed of large images ? Default is too slow and needs a lot of time to move across ; especially in big images.

No. There is no option to change the speed. Many users have mentioned this problem. Try using the scrollbar instead, or the Fit to Window shortcut (F), then zoom to the area of interest by using select with the mouse.

Why don't you right click and drag the image? Much quicker than scrolling.

        That's the problem , actually ^^

Because to do it you need to stretch to reach the mouse ; click and hold the right key and drag around.I do it a lot while viewing pictures ; but becomes troublesome when reading manga scans.

It'd be much more convenient for long sessions ; just pressing the arrow keys while sitting laid back

Would be a simple and useful addition to irfanview imo

Ah I see, you are using the arrow keys to scroll.
You do know that you can use Home and End keys to quickly scroll left or right in a big image? You can also use Page Up and Page Down to quickly scroll up or down if you uncheck "Jump always to next image if Arrow or Page keys (or mouse wheel) pressed" in Options > Misc 1.

I like the sideways scrolling with the mouse wheel by holding shift — no wonder, I was the one who requested it — but it is painfully slow.

It seems to be about the same as in ver 3.97 — about 20 flicks of the scroll wheel to move down a full screen on 1280x1024.
