    Is Bulk resizing Possible

I am a newbie, love the program, but find it tedious to resize each photo. I was using a program that would resize all at once but that is all it does. I love using InfraView and wondered if this is possible . Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, greer5919 in Sunny Florida

Irfan View has powerful batch options for bulk conversion and renaming of images. Used with care it can save a lot of time. Read my Basic Tutorial and the help file too. Backup your originals in case you mess up while you're still learning.

Well I sure have a lot of learning to do. Maybe I'll just re-size one picture at a time. Sound way beyond me at this point. Thanks for your input and I will use that as a start and hope that I can figure it out.

        bulk resizing

I went to the tutorial and followed the format. Where it asked for the size of the pictures I also used 400 pixels as suggested for the width and did not use a figure(also suggested) for the length. Well I got my bulk re-size but they were long thin pictures. I went back and put in both figures for the size and absolutey nothing happened. Guess I'll try again tomorrow. I need to rest my eyes. Be sure to check the "Preserve aspect ratio" box. There are a lot of options to keep track of, even just for resizing. If you only use the batch dialog for resizing, it isn't too bad.

As long as you don't overwrite the originals, you can always delete the mess and go back to change some detail of the settings.

It's a nifty feature -- thanks IrfanView! I often use the percent reduction method and direct the new files to a different directory when I want to email someone pictures. That way my smaller ones are all in one place.
