Lossless Rotation Gives Smaller File Size

Oops that was a bad first...pls delete the closed thread.
in 3.99 i see a smaller jpeg-imagefile after rotation. is this normal? is it really lossless?

Are you viewing the image full-size or do you have the "Fit images to Desktop" option checked? Because if you rotate an image from landscape (long side horizontal) to portrait (long side vertical, up-and-down), it will look a lot smaller in the "Fit" display mode, but it is really the same size.
    Its: Belongs to "It"
It's: Shortened form of "It is"

e.g. not the truth just for understanding

      original 2.5mb
      rotated 2mb

so what should i do that the image-datasize is identical after rotation?

          Size vs. Size - lol
You also have options to keep or drop EXIF data and so on. That can make a difference.
