view web images in browser, not irfanview?

Irfanview has over taking viewing images from websites in my browser. When clicking on an image, on a website, the browser asks "Do you want to open or save this file?" when I just want to view the (image) file inside my browser.

How do I remove this behaviour?

This seems like a question on uisng your browser, not on using IrfanView.

In Opera, you would go to Preferences, Download, and edit the properties for each image type you want to open in Opera.
