Problem opening a pdf file

I'm trying to open a pdf file so that I can convert the contents to an image format. I've tried installing Ghostscript (AFPL Version), as advised in the error message I initially received, in my Programs folder, and also in my Irfanview folder, but I still get the same error message.

I'd appreciate any advice anyone can offer.

Open it in PDF-XChange and export it as an image.

If you must use Ghostscript, search the forum for many previous threads on this issue.
