How Do I Update to the New Version?

Hi,

I currently have version 4.20...........is there a way to "update" to the new current version of 4.23 or do i need to do a totally new install. I have downloaded the new version but have not installed it yet. Waiting for input from this forum.

Just install the new version in the same directory to update your old installation.

Hi David,

I believe it is safer to first uninstall an old version. So, there is no risk of problems with plug-ins from an old version (almost each new version of IrfanView comes with its own plug-ins).

OK, plug-ins are the same for versions 4.22 and 4.23.
But David's question was to update from 4.20 to 4.23.
