Exif window opens automtically

Hi there,

just upgraded from IrfanView 3.98 to 4.23. Now when I flip to the next image (in full screen mode and in normal mode), Exif window opens automatically.

This is annoying. How can I disable this behaviour

Update: Uninstalled and reinstalled Irfan View. Also installed iv_misc.zip (contains Exif plugin). Everything now works as expected. The Exif window only opens when I press key "E".

I got it and solved it, check what Exif.dll yer using.
It should be Exif.dll v4230

It is indeed a bug -- a bug in the installer. It's not properly handling the case of upgrading from an older to a newer version of IrfanView. In my case, it left a bunch of 3.99 DLLs in the install location instead of properly replacing them with the 4.23 versions.

Are you installing the plugins into the right place?

Check that you don't have a folder called \IrfanView\Plugins\Plugins\
