Multipage Tiff Editing using Paint

We use IrfanView to edit Multipage tiffs using the paint toolbar (mostly to erase scanner marks, etc). We have noticed that after using the eraser tool and moving onto the next page, the edits are not saved (if after moving onto the next page you go back to the page w/ edits, these changes do NOT show).

We've found that the only way for these edits to be retained is to save each page before moving to the next.

Is there some setting that will allow you to edit multiple pages and then perform the save just once for the entire tiff?

No. A multipage tiff is one file, not multiple files, so saving the whole file is the only way.

The safest route is to extract all frames, edit the individual TIFs, and rebuild the multipage file later.
