Stamping the date of a picture permanently

Hi, all:

Is there a function in IrfanView that I can use to stamp the date that a picture was taken? My Panasonic camera does not have such a function but I've viewed pictures in IrfanView with dates stamped. Any thoughts? Thank you very much.

The best way is probably with a batch operation. See the Batch Operation, Advanced Options, Text overlay, and see help to get the right variable to add the Exif date to the stamp. You can choose the font and font size, the size and position of the text overlay, and the justification of the text within the text overlay are
