    trojan horse found?

Win32[colon]Delf-MZG [Trj] has been found in "C:\Program files\IrfanView\Plugins\CADImage.dll"
(colon is because this web site will convert any colon dee into sadly no escape characters)

This popped up on me all of a sudden from Avast anti-virus. I have seen others mention Avast finding this in other files on other web sites. Either it's something built in to various files or it's just an error. Anyone have any ideas?

I also use Avast (free) anti-virus, and encountered the same Trojan horse this evening in ALL of my copies of the IrfanView plug-in file — [...]

[Edit: This turned out, however, to be a false positive, and is fixed by the latest Avast database update. See this message and others near it in the Avast Web forum. ... At least it got me signed up for this forum! {weary grin}]
