Command line switches to turn off title, menu, status bars

    Hi,

Are there any command line switches to start IV in "minimal mode"? I like to open pictures and park them on the desktop, without the title, menu and status bars displayed. I know I can embed pics in the desktop itself, but in XP there are some negative effects to doing it that way.

I didn't see anything like this mentioned in the Help file.

    Thanks,
    Paul

    It's there. Thus:

    Example for /hide:

Values (can be combined (add values)):
    Toolbar 1
    Status bar 2
    Menu bar 4
    Caption 8

    i_view32.exe c:\test.jpg /hide=1

    Open 'c:\test.jpg', hide toolbar only.

    i_view32.exe c:\test.jpg /hide=3

Open 'c:\test.jpg', hide toolbar and status bar.

    i_view32.exe c:\test.jpg /hide=12

Open 'c:\test.jpg', hide caption and menu bar.

    i_view32.exe c:\test.jpg /hide=15

    Open 'c:\test.jpg', hide all.
    Its: Belongs to "It"
It's: Shortened form of "It is"

    Lose: Fail to keep
    Loose: Not tight

Wow, I had no idea that was there. I didn't see it documented anywhere. (Glad I stopped back here too, because I got no notification of a reply.)

I added the command to the context menu in Win XP, so now I can open files in a display frame with two clicks.

      Thanks much; much appreciated!

The documentation is in the installation folder. Please see i_options.txt and i_plugins.txt

Wow, thanks much, it's all there. After seeing it, I was going to suggest at least a leader to it in the Help file, but since I upgraded from 4.1 yesterday, the whole section is now in the Help file, whereas I had come up empty before on a search for 'command'. Great work.

Also, I found that my email problem was due to using an old address back when I registered here. So now everything should be good.

Thanks to you both for the info, this is a great feature.
