Changing default font for viewing text files - how?

    Irfanview version: 4.1(I think)

First let me say what an excellent program IF is. I use it on all my machines.

To my question - I have a bunch of text files I want to convert to images. I could take a screen shots but I always get the scroll bar and whilst this woulnd't be a problem with a couple of images I need to do around a hundred for a mod I'm doing and the mod requires a particular font.

I also need the images to be an exact size which, whilst IF can do it, I'd have to do it by hand which again is impossible for so many images. I have the text files the right size so when IF views them they show up fine but its just the font issue now.

I've been through the related posts here and found someone with a similar problem but the solution was never reached. So, is there a way to change the font that IF uses to view text files?

You have very few options for selecting the font in IrfanView in Properties, Browsing/Editing — the IrfanPaint Plugin offers you much more control, but you would have to cut and paste text from notepad into the IrfanPaint text edit window.

You might find it easier to use WordPad and take screen shots of the text in that.

Does anyone know what font it does use by default (and why it chooses that one?)
