converting pdf files

Hi,
I'm new to this forum, but been an IrfanView user for years.
I am using Irfanview 4.00 on WIN2K workstation.
i tried to convert PDF files to tif format.
according to the help file this should be possible after installing ghostscript.
still i was unable to make it work.

does any body have experience with that operation.

Did you get any error message ?

How did you convert it ? Via "save as" or via batch conversion ?

Please try to use both ways and then let us know if you get any message.

Try PDF-XChange. It does a fine job of converting PDF files to multipage TIF or single images. See my sig.

Hi mutziv,

This problem has already been discussed here. If the problem is that PDF don't open in IrfanView, search for "GhostScript", "AFPL", "GPL" in this forum and you'll probably find the solution (if you still want to use IV for PDF files).

Hi, I'm trying to do the opposite and get a "PDF File Save Error."
Do you have any idea of what to do?
I'm trying to save a jpg as a PDF so that I can e-mail it to friends and they can open it.

This works for me. Any special option settings? Maybe you can publish here one of the images not working.

Ditto here except I was going from tiff to PDF. I selected File --> Save As.. them PDF as the output format. After choosing a location and selecting <OK> it pops up and says "PDF File Save Error!" <OK> No other options.

I have since reloaded the IV 4.10 plugins (.exe) and it's working.
