Installation problem

When I installed the program, every window has 'XXXX' in place of OK or CANCEL etc. There is no text on the buttons for further actions in all windows. Did I perhaps mess up the installation. How can I correct this problem.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the software, with the same result.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?
Which language did you install for? It sounds like a font problem.

Hi,

after uninstalling IrfanView, have you checked that the program folder was removed?

Which OS do you use, maybe it is just a corrupt i_view32.ini.
If you use Win 7, check if there is a file
%localappdata%\VirtualStore\Program Files\IrfanView\i_view32.ini

In this file there should be a section
[Language]
DLL=ENGLISH
Lang=English

Is this correkt?
