When I use the zoom feature, I can't exit by using the - or going into view. If I use the - (unzoom) icon, the screen freezes for a short time and then returns to the zoomed view. I can get out by using the left arrow, and then choosing cancel in the box that comes up, but that is not a "graceful" way to exit zoom. I just downloaded the program, so it is the newest version (windows XP). Any ideas? I am talking about using the mouse to create a "window" and enlarging that window.

Turn off resample for zoom in View, Display options.
