Possibility to batch download (and then batch resize) images?

Hi there, I need to download and resize several thousand product images for my online shop.
I make use of an external supplier that has all product images on his site, but I want them on my own site and a little smaller as well.

Is it possible to batch download these images using Irfan View?
Batch resizing shouldn't be a problem.

IrfanView can upload multiple images via FTP from the thumbnails window, but downloading is not possible.

Win HTTrack Web Site Copier may do what you need to download loads of files. You will have to look at the various configuration options to make sure you don't download more than you need.
