Is it possible to add a note or add a sticky to pictures

Frequently I would like to add notes to pictures that I have, to remind me. Is it possible to add a sticky -or something like that- to pictures so that they are shown when you see the pic again?

If its a JPG image, yes. Open the information dialogue (shorcut i), and add IPTC comments to the image. Click on "Write" to add the comment to the file. There is no need to save the file again, which will degrade it slightly.

      Thanks, that's working!

Can you also tell me how I make the comment show (automatically) when the picture turns up?

          Hallo VurPilot,
to add a comment to a Jpg Picture you can use the keycombination "Ctrl+Shift+M". Here you can add your text. To show this with the picture, you must set in menu: Options/Properties-Settings/Fullscreen - slideshow the sign in "show text" and in the edit dialog "$C" (look the picture). Now your comment is shown during Fullscreen. You can switch "on-off" with the key "n". In thumbnails your can mark several pictures and write the same comment in all. If your are not in fullscreen, you can show the comment at the statusbar. For this please add in properties/Viewing the "$C" in the field of Statusbar text.

The instruciotns are very clear. Thanks for taking the time to explain. I will come back to let you know if every thing is working. Grts, Gerald.

Hey Günter, I found the time to try your instructions. This is exactly what I needed! THANKS for helping me out. It would be even more perfect if the comment would be shown as a yellow sticky, especially when I'm not in fullscreen I have to remind myself of looking at the statusbar, but for now this is good enough. Greetings from Amsterdam.
