Hi,
I'm new to this forum, but I hope someone can help me fix a problem I have..
I tried to merge two partitions on a hard drive with paragon partition manager.
In the middle of the process electricity got cut off. When I restarted the windows had to recover a load of files. The disk on wich the pictures we're placed didn't show up in explorer.. I was able to find it back with paragon partition manager. I thought no harm was done because all the pictures showed up. The problem is only 1/10th of the pictures is still readable. All the other files give error messages even in irfanview. I tried loads of stuff. Different recovery software (photorescue pro, pc inspector,...). I opened the files in a hex editor but i wouldn't know at all what to look for. The only thing I found out is that the corrupt files have a totally different hex info compared to the good files.
I hope anyone has seen the same problem as mine and maybe could help me fix this. These pictures are all my pictures taken for the last 8 years. Maybe about 55.000 pics! It would be a terrible loss for me...
I could post a picture if it's helpfull to test...
I tried to add one as an attachment but i got an error that it isn't a valid image file...
Thanks everybody!
