I just create a panorama image, and for the first time I noticed huge filename stamp on each image included in the final image. Where did that come from?

I don't want any text in my Panorama Image, not even 1 point text. Can't I turn it off?Before you post ... Edit your profile • IrfanView 4.62 • Windows 10 Home 19045.2486

Hi Steve,
"Insert text into selection"
I have to say that I don't get the file names when I make a panorama.

Strange i_view32.ini
Hi,
I just had the curiosity to look at my i_view32.ini. Here is the strange content of the [Panorama section]
Code:[Panorama] PanoramaDir=C:\Documents and Settings\Laurent\Mes documents\Mes images Direction=2 ction=1 ction=1 ] PanoramaDir=I:\Teide\captures Direction=1 ction=1 ction=1 ion=1 1 ion=1 1 ction=1 ction=1 ion=1 1 ion=1 on=1 1 ction=1 ction=1 ion=1 1 ion=1 n=1 ion=1 1 ion=1 =1 ion=1 1 ion=1 1 ion=1 n=1 1 ion=1 1 ion=1 1 ion=1 n=1 1 ion=1 1 ion=1
Other sections also have such kind ob garbage: [Print], [AddText], [Paint], [MrSID], [ContactSheet].
And lines 875 to 1693 (end of the file) are empty.
I admit that I happened to edit the .ini manually. Is it the cause?

I don't see anything like that in mine, but it looks like we found a regression. I notice that the [AddText] section follows right on from the [Panorama] section. Direction=1 or Direction=2 is just horizontal and vertical panoramas.
"ction=1" looks very much like a bit of corrupted "Direction=1"
This is my ini file section

The "Add text" is for the text in a selection. I don't think that affects the panorama creation at all.
I wonder how Laurent's INI got all that chopped stuff? It could (should) be cut out. Mine is OK. One thing I have noticed recently is that everyone's INI is organized differently. A new INI has very little on it. Everything that is added as each feature is used, is added in the order in which the features are used. It doesn't seem to matter, but it certainly can help to confuse issues when people are comparing INI's!Its: Belongs to "It"
It's: Shortened form of "It is"

Loose: Not tight

Hi Bhikkhu Pesala,
Here, [AddText] is 3 sections before [Panorama]. After its content, I recognize the settings I used for batch processing.
Did you try to rename your .ini file (i_view32.ini.save for example) and then start IrfanView to make a panorama again?

Apparently it is a default setting. The only thing my new INI has in it is:
[Panorama]
PanoramaDir=E:\Archive\scrshots\printerpdf
Direction=1
[WinPosition]
xKoord=0
yKoord=0
Width=976
Height=698
Maximized=0
And the test panorama had ooky green filename on it, like the slideshow default - hmm, do we have a clue?Its: Belongs to "It"

Nope, the fullscreen options text has nothing to do with it, I tried all ways.
After opening the Properties dialog, I have a much fuller INI, but no relief from the offending text. Ack.
All I can be sure of is that the color can be changed from the text-to-selection options. Size too. So choosing the smallest possible size and a neutral color helpsLast edited by matera; 25.10.2008, 02:35 AM.Its: Belongs to "It"

Hi Matera,
I have exactly the same new INI file as you, but... no text in the panorama
As we use to say in french, "la nuit porte conseil" so I'm going to sleep now.
