OCR Problem after JPG to TIF Conversion

I have a number of JPEG of a book when I convert them to tiff using irfan view and then try to run a OCR program it keeps coming back,"no text was found' this started happening only 3 months ago before that I was having no problems .
can I try the older versions to see if this happens in them or not ?

From your description, it sounds like a problem with the OCR program, not with IrfanView. What OCR program are you using? Please attach a sample JPG and TIF that you converted, which no longer works in your OCR program.
