Filename not correct after renaming with a special character like €

After renaming a file using a character like "€", IrfanView replace it with an underscore "_". In my mind, it's a problem of bad support of UTF-8 charset.

Even after I've activated the Unicode plugin, it's impossible to rename the filename using the "€" symbol!

Please consider:

IrfanView has only a basic unicode support!
See: IrfanView homepage → History of changes → Older versions - History

That means: A basic support is not the same as a full support!
(Maybe some characters don't work!)

Not a bug, since it was IrfanView is does not support Unicode. As said, the Unicode plugin only offers limited support.

Thanks for your answer... that finally push me to uninstall Irfanview for using Faststone Image Viewer.
