Save Options box

When I go to Save As, the JPEG/GIF save options dialog box always comes up in the item selector box which is always in the way, I can't scroll the selector box unless I move that options box. I rarely need to change setting in the option box. Any way I can disable it from always coming up when I Save As?

At the bottom of the Save as dialogue is a checkbox to show the options dialogue. Uncheck that, but I don't know what you mean by "getting in the way." A screen shot would help.

Thank you, that fixed my problem. Don't know why I neglected to see that little check box.
