Option to prevent the use of embedded thumbnails?

I have my thumbnails set to one of the larger size options, and this means that often an embedded thumbnail is smaller than the size I have selected. This results in a small thumbnail surrounded by empty space in the Thumbnails view.

I want IrfanView to ignore embedded thumbnails and recreate new thumbnails at the size selected in Options? Is that possible?

There is a thumbnail option to enlarge smaller images, and some plugin (Properties plugins) options to use embedded previews if available for RAW images.
