Flipping through directory

I often want to quickly flip through the images in a directory that also contains non-image files. I have used the left and right arrows for this. The problem is that when Irfanview fails to open a file I get a modal error dialog, but I don't care about the errors. I just want Irfanview to show me the files it can show me without having to stop and click the error dialog OK. Is this possible? I don't need to be told to change my file associations.
