Solved How to save cropped jpg without loss of resolution

I have a graphic image that has a lot of white space around the actual image. I want to crop it close to the image so I can upload it to be put on a coffee mug.

I get the crop box set to the right size, then press Ctrl-Y. Then "S" (save as).

In the JPEG/GIF save option dialog box, I have the Save quality set to 100 (Good) and all of the other checkboxes unchecked.

Do I have the setting right?

The original is about 12MB and the cropped image is about 9MB, which seems about right.

That sound right. Does it meet the file size requirements of the upload site?

OK, thanks. I just wanted to make sure that I was not inadvertantly losing resolution by having some setting wrong.

I'm using EZPrints (http://ezprints.com/). They make beautiful panorama prints (up to 156 inches long), so they have a very large upload limit. I uploaded one image that was over 36 MB.

      Their prices are very reasonable. I recently got three prints of 8 x 24 ($7.00), 10 x 30 ($10), and 12 x 36 ($13.50).
