Save for Web / RIOT Plugin Redux

I don't understand why this doesn't work anymore. (I've read some of the posts on the forum)

I used to use it ALL THE TIME. (almost exclusively)

PNGOUT doesn't come CLOSE to the functionality we used to have. (or any of the other "workarounds")

Apparently there was some issue with the RIOT product size or something.

Does that mean the IrfanView PlugIns option? (is that all one DLL and RIOT was "too big" to include?)

WHY can't we just install the RIOT plugin separately if we want to and have it callable by IrfanView?

This wasn't just a loss, it was a HUGE backward step in features and functionality for IrvanView.

If you read the other posts, you should know that the solution is to launch RIOT as an external program.

There is nothing more to discuss here, which is why the other threads were closed.
