Solved Need to edit a wmv, can IrfanView do this?

All I need is to clip the length of the video. Somehow I got the impression that IrfanView could do this. True? Where can I find instructions?

If not true can anyone suggest a simple inexpensive editor that will do this?

IrfanView can only show videos, but has no editing capabilities for them.
Avidemux, Virtualdub or LosslessCut may help you.

I'm clearly missing something. Perhaps I should have been clear that I want to edit a .wmv video? I've tried all three of the above editors and had three different problems. I'm willing to pay for something but I don't need a pro grade editor. Just want to snip off the end of the video.

Maybe FastStone Capture will suit you. I use it constantly for taking screen shots, and created all of my tutorial videos with it.
It is Shareware, but only $19.95 for a lifetime licence. It saves video captures in *.wmv format, and can open them for editing. You can crop sections, add annotations, zoom, etc.
