Solved When I save a new image Irfan saves it as "Clipboard1", & if I already have that in

When I save a new image, Irfan always saves it as "Clipboard1", & if I already have a file named "Clipboard1" in the folder I am trying to save, Irfan wont tell me & will tell me it saved the file, but it really wont & my 2nd image could be lost forever once I exit. Irfan needs to have a continually randomized rolling generic filename generator, Such as "156245.jpg" or filename1rfw2.jpg", etc. -Thanks!

I get a message asking if I wish to overwrite the Clipboard01.jpg

Thank you friend! Irfan still needs to generate a rolling filename, instead of "clipboard1" everytime. That way I can just hit "save" and it saves automatically.

If I paste another image into IrfanView and save it, the filename is Clipboard02.jpg - so as long as you don't close and restart IrfanView, it will not be Clipboard01.jpg every time.

Thank you friend. I understand. One more problem, When I save it, the default file directory location it tries to save in is my windows "System 32" folder, which is bizarre, I cant find any option to save a default save location? -Thanks!

Just save it in any folder that you wish, and that will become your new default.

As far as I know, IrfanView will be updated again in due course. You can send your feature request to Irfan Skiljan, and see what he has to say.
