HEIC Photos Still Not Viewable

I'm using Irfanview 4.62 on a completely updated Windows 10 PC. I followed the FAQ instructions and tried to install the Microsoft Extensions.
I received the message "This app will not work on your device."

Next I installed the CopyTrans HEIC Codec and rebooted my PC.

HEIC photos will still not open in Irfanview.

I looked for a way to ask for help from CopyTrans but only found a FAQ which didn't solve the problem.

Additional: MY PC recently crashed and I had to replace it. I had everything with HEIC working previously using the Microsoft extensions.

You need to update your forum signature.
For everyone's benefit, I include the FAQ for HEIC files below.

Q: How to load HEIC files in IrfanView?
A: You must install the HEVC extension/codec.
1) If you have Windows 10/11, you can install it from Microsoft Store:
You need to install 2 (!!) extensions from Microsoft Store: HEVC Video Extensions from Device Manufacturer AND HEIF Image Extensions.
or
2) Download and install the HEIC Codec, version 1.0.1 and later (Freeware, for Win7/Win8/Win10/Win11).

or
3) Search on internet for the "CopyTrans HEIC" Windows codec and install it (Free for personal use, for Win7/Win8/Win10/Win11).

Glad to update my forum signature, but not sure what that requires.

HEIC - As mentioned, I followed the instructions for loading the HEVC codec and was unsuccessful.

I could use some expert help.

Update:

As noted, neither option 1 nor option 3 worked to get HEIC images to display in Irfanview. So, I downloaded and installed the codec referenced in option 2. Images still not display in Irfanview though they will now open in Microsoft's "Photos" app that comes with Windows.

I really do prefer to use Irfanview over the Windows app.

I used option 3 a while ago and it worked fine.

I just tried Option 3. It worked fine for me too.
