PDF batch conversion

We have used Irfanview to batch convert PDF files (from scans) to a lower compression setting (reduce file sizes) on a Windows XP machine.
I allows us to select the level of compression for the converted files.
We have now try to do the same on a Windows 7 machine and there is no longer an ability to change the compression settings.
Is this a bug or change of features in the later version of Irfanview?

It is neither — you changed something in the save as save as PDF options dialogue on the previous computer, but the new installation has reset to the defaults.

It sounds like a similar problem to that reported in this thread.
