    Solved Resolution of PDF Files in Viewer

    I'm disappointed with the image quality when converting a PDF to BMP. Any suggestions for making this conversion while maintaining much better quality ? It goes completely against the grain to print the PDF out and then scan it!

    IrfanView is designed for viewing files. If you want to convert a PDF to a bitmap image, use PDF-XChange.

    It is possible to increase the resolution of the bitmap created by changing the setting in Options, Plugins, Postscript options from 96 to 300 dpi or whatever, but that rather defeats the purpose of using IrfanView as a viewer because it will take much longer for each PDF file to be loaded.

      Brilliant !

      Tried 600x600 with anti-aliasing off

      then 1200 dpi - which I think will be adequate for what I need this time.
