pics load but do not display

running Irfanview 4.35 w/plugins. I can load a picture and the picture info is available but the picture does not display. There is also no preview of the picture when in the folder. See attached screenshot. Any thoughts on what the problem is?

Maybe because the 1 unique colour is black?

If you can attach the image it might help. Can you view it in other applications?
