Are Search results severely limited?

I was doing a search to see if anyone else had my issue and was amazed at the paucity of search results for various keywords. So just for fun I searched on the word "image" and only got 10 results.
Are the search results limited to a maximum of 10? Or only posts made in the last week?

I noticed this issue. Probably search results are limited to the time since the forum was updated to fix other problems.
