IrfanView has a great feature I make use of quite a bit to cut the middle of an image out - "Edit -> Remove / Insert strip (uses selection) / Remove Horizontal strip (sel. height)", followed by "Remove / Insert strip (uses selection) / Insert Horizontal strip (sel. height)" - this cuts an arbitrary strip from an image and then inserts a 'gap' in exactly the way I want, but - I want to have a 'tear' or 'jagged edge' or similar to clearly show a removal was made. Something roughly like this:

Or a 'thunderbolt' or 'sawtooth' edge; something to indicate a cut out was made.
Hopefully this makes sense!
PS - A similar effect is already used in IrfanView in the 'borders' feature - Image / Add Border / Frame / Broken Edge Frame. This makes the above image look like this:

So what I'm looking for is the 'broken edge', as used in the border feature, but applied to the edge in a section cut! ?
