That is exactly what I've been doing. This is sooo frustrating. Why is it working for u, and not for me? I was hoping to take the picture, resize to 256 and save as jpg. Not having very good luck. If you have any more advice I would love it!

It already is 256 x 256 pixels.

Well, I finally figured out what I did wrong. I feel like such an idiot! Instead of just opening the file I should have used the Search Files option under File. Now I can see the image. Thank you for all your help. Now I have to figure out how to change the size to 256 x 256 using IrfanView. I was going to use Paint Shop Pro, but Im already learning how to use this diverser program.
